Michael A. Maffucci

Michael A. Maffucci is the owner and president of Verity Van Lines, Inc., one of Long Island’s largest privately owned van lines.

Michael’s father and grandfather owned a moving and storage company in Lynbrook, New York for more than 50 years. The name was sold in the early 1970s to an unrelated competitor.

After graduating from Chaminade High School in Mineola. Michael attended Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut. He worked as a Certified Public Accountant and Audit Manager for Price Waterhouse in Stamford, Connecticut.

In 1987 he decided to follow the family tradition and returned to Long Island to purchase Austin Verity & Son, a well-known and respected moving and storage company located for more than 65 years in Seaford, New York.

Over the years, Michael expanded and built the company into the present day Verity Van Lines and has established a reputation for providing quality moves throughout the nation. With offices in Seaford, New York, Lindenhurst, New York and Palm Beach, Florida, the company has served thousands of families throughout New York State, Florida, and the Carolinas, as well as Arizona and California. The company is now moving grandchildren of people it moved years ago.

Michael is the chairman and past president of the Long Island Moving & Storage Association. He also served as the president and a director of the New York State Movers and Warehousemen’s Association.
